Planning & Services Design

Planning Standards

Planning standards adopted for Gulshan-e-Maymar are more stringent than those required by the Town Planning regulations, which has resulted in more open spaces as summarized below:

74 acres of residential space and 2 acres of commercial space have been sacrificed to provide more amenities, open spaces and wider roads. The company has dedicated 168 acres to amenities against a requirement of 153 acres, and 316 acres for road against a requirement of 255 acres.

In Gulshan-e-Maymar, an area of 86.2 acres has been allocated for parks and playgrounds. Most of this area has been fully developed. In addition, a humongous plants nursery is also maintained within the township to service the parks. The gardens and nursery have won prizes consistently in Flower Shows since 1985. More than 10,000 trees have been planted on roadsides and in parks, while more trees are being planted in the newly developed sectors.

Low lying plots have been filled by the Company up to road level.

Services Design

The infrastructure, utility network, including water, sewerage, electrical, and gas, and amenities have been designed for a peak population of 100,000. Planning for extension of services is done five years in advance to ensure timely provision of requisite facilities to the exponentially growing township population.
